BalletConnect Floor Barre

This 60-mn class happens on the floor, laying down supine, prone and side-lying on a mat and can be performed anywhere.

It is inspired by Boris Knyazev floor barre, originated in Paris in the 1930’s, focusing on the inward and outward joints rotation to allow leg and arms isolation for a greater range of motion and mobility.

It has been greatly used in the professional ballet world as an injury prevention and recovery class strengthening the spine and core for greater core & hip stabilization. Movements are performed in a progressive manner, laying down with legs at 90 degrees, laying down on your back, seated or on the elbows, or prone. This is a no impact class of variable intensity.

Floor Mat or floor towel recommended.
